SB 328 Allows Construction Manager at Risk Agreements for Counties

California Governor Jerry Brown signed Senate Bill 328 into law, permitting counties to enter Construction Manager at Risk agreements for construction of projects in excess of $1,000,000.  Other public entities, such as the California State University and University of California systems, have previous had the power to enter into Construction Manager at Risk agreements.  

California Contractors: Don't Forget to Pull Your Permits

The CSLB is taking action to ensure that California contractors are pulling the necessary building permits for their construction projects.

In a CSLB bulletin this spring, the CSLB reminds all contractors that "failure to pull building permits for your construction projects can result in disciplinary action by the CSLB, including suspension or revocation of your license," pursuant to California Business & Professions Code section 7090.
